D-Groups
At Lighthouse, our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ that faithfully make disciples of Jesus Christ. With that as our chief end, we have established our Discipleship Groups to be the primary way that we equip students to be spiritually mature and to grow as disciple-makers. Each group is designed to facilitate spiritual community and accountability so that each student will intentionally grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Community
Our community is rooted in Christian fellowship. We desire to have a community that reflects the love of Christ because of the radical change that He has accomplished in our lives. This is most consistently expressed when we gather together over God's Word in our Discipleship Groups.
Accountability
A major goal of our D-groups is to help hold each other accountable to following Jesus. They are the place where we can have the real, authentic conversations about faith & faithfulness. And they are the place where we hold one another to the high calling that we have received in Christ.
Encouragement
The encouragement of other believers to help us follow Christ faithfully is indispensable. Therefore, our D-groups function in such a way that our community & accountability encourages each other to stay on the path that Christ has set out for us.
